February 3 & 4, 2010 - Update

Wednesday and Thursday were relatively quiet days. No material changes in Dad's condition.

• His vital signs are stable, blood counts and blood sugars are well within acceptable ranges...all good things.
• He has been on the ventilator overnight and off during the day (with a couple of short exceptions).
• Dad's been up in the robo-chair for a few hours each day this week.
• Another good sign was that he got cranky with the speech therapist, telling her "leave me alone." She is very nice and took it in stride, by the way.
  
• There have been several visitors.
• Ryan (TR's son-in-law) stopped in Wednesday.
  
• Thursday was busy with neighbors Betty and Sue Ellen, and buddies Dave and Ed making the trip from Elkins. Terry was in from Charleston and Becky's back.

Thanks to all for the many calls, cards and letters. Your prayers are especially coveted - thank you. Please continue to pray for Dad's complete recovery and for our ability to effectively communicate with him.
