Thanks for Your Prayers

With so many people praying for Dad, I wanted to say thank you (can't say thank you enough) and share what James had to say on the subject. It's found in chapter 5 of James' letter "to the twelve tribes scattered among the nations" and my hope is that it's an encouragement to all to keep praying for Dad.

Are any of you suffering hardships? You should pray. Are any of you happy? You should sing praises. Are any of you sick? You should call for the elders of the church to come and pray over you, anointing you with oil in the name of the Lord. Such a prayer offered in faith will heal the sick, and the Lord will make you well. And if you have committed any sins, you will be forgiven.

Confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed. The earnest prayer of a righteous person has great power and produces wonderful results. Elijah was as human as we are, and yet when he prayed earnestly that no rain would fall, none fell for three and a half years! Then, when he prayed again, the sky sent down rain and the earth began to yield its crops. - James 5:13-18 (New Living Translation)

    miles--meet me at the thistle/whistle coffee shop at 9:00 this am---need a house break---jude has me doing exercises on my little "mat" on the living room floor---air force/canadian mounted police exercise book published in 1962!!!!!--what was i thinking 51 years ago????----i know your answer-- but snow or no snow see you at bistle--hugs-bikeman

    Dear Noodie and Family,

    Just wanted to once again, let you know that our thoughts and prayers are with all of you. Terry has kept us appraised on a weekly basis, and this new blog site is wonderful.

    Great things happen in good time, so we will continue to keep Miles in our prayers.

    Noodie, please give Miles a hug for me and tell him I said . . . "Pass the Snuff." See if he remembers what I mean... An ole "Bob and Miles Polecat Ritual."

    Miles,

    You're supposed to go south for the winter, not north. You need to reset your compass.

    Whatever Noodie and your medical crew tell you to do, you need to listen and do it. St. Paddy's Day isn't that far away and you must be able to lift a brew and give a toast by March 17. Wally and I can't do your drinking for you.
