The snow started to fly late in the day, but otherwise Friday the 5th was a decent day. No big changes in status and his doctor continues to be impressed by Dad's progress. He went so far as to say that this could be the start of a turning point in Dad's recovery. The steps are small, to the point that they are difficult to discern when you see the daily process, so this was encouraging news.
- Vital signs, blood counts and so forth are all holding up.
- Dad's still on the ventilator overnight and continuing with the weaning process during the day. Getting to the point where he can get the trach out will be big.
- He was up in the "robo-chair" for about 2-1/2 hours and was fairly alert most of that time. A call from friend Bob Damico cheered him considerably.
Miles, it is so good to hear that you are progressing day by day. Be like the little engine, keep chugging. He made it to his goal, and so will you. I continue to hold you in my thoughts and prayers.
ReplyDeleteNoodie, I hope to be in touch with you Sunday, after missing talking to you today. The blogspot is such a warm and efficient way to keep in touch. Well done, Woody!
About The snow- It is so very beautiful, in spite of being a problem for many. Miles, do you remember when you and I went cross-country skiing at the Country Club? Let's go again sometime. I'll bring the brandy. Love to all of you. Sue
