March 13-15, 2010 - Progressively Better Days

Saturday, the 13th through Monday the 15th were progressively better days. Dad's level of engagement improved a little each day.

• His vital signs remain steady and strong.
  
• The wound on his left foot continues to painful for Dad, especially with dressing changes.
• Still, Dad's improved level of engagement is a plus.
  
• Son John's visit ran through mid-day Sunday.
• That visit dovetailed with a long visit from son Mike on Sunday.
• Trina, Jake and Molly made a Sunday trip to Pittsburgh to give Mom happy birthday greetings (actual birthday Monday). The whole crowd enjoyed brunch together.
  

The TICU nurses revealed that the plan is in to move Dad to a step-down unit elsewhere in Presby, pending the move to Select.

As always, thank you so much for your prayers, thoughts, correspondence and support. Please continue to pray for Dad's complete recovery and for strength and peace for Mom and Dad through this process.

I returned to Fort Worth on the 10th. For some reason, I find myself challenged by the distance. My apologies for any lapse in reporting frequency. Best, Woody
